Although Kamloops is now my home, Ottawa is the place that I grew up and will always hold a piece of my heart.  Each visit is unique, yet always offers the chance to share a piece of my past with my children: whether it’s skating on the canal, admiring the fall colours in Gatineau Park, or watching the fireworks on Canada Day.  Of course it’s always a lovely opportunity to reconnect with family and friends.  But each trip serves as a reminder of how much both Ottawa and I have changed, and how good it feels to return home to Kamloops.
